Sharing My Creative Process
I had the wonderful opportunity to speak about how I create my children's books and illustrations from the first spark of an idea to the moment a character comes alive on the page.
Every story begins with something simple: a feeling, a memory, or a moment that deserves to be seen through a child's eyes. From there, I sketch, refine, and let the illustrations carry the heart of the story.
Whether it's Pepe discovering courage at Amici's Italian Bistro or Bonnie celebrating a birthday with her friends at Lillie Valley Farm, I love creating stories that inspire kindness, friendship, and perseverance. Talking about this process reminded me how much joy there is in building worlds that feel both familiar and full of wonder.

A Pepe Storytime Visit includes a reading of Pepe Saves the Day, a brief child-friendly author talk,
simple Q&A, and an opportunity for children to connect with the story, characters, and message of kindness.

Includes one 20–30 minute reading session.
